Arsenal have perhaps the best centre-back pairing in the world right now.

Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba have been brick walls at the back for the Gunners this season.

Frighteningly, Arsenal aren’t resting on their laurels at the back, and they may end up signing a new centre-back partnership that could take them to even higher levels in a few years’ time.

Leny Yoro and Jorell Hato could be incredible for Arsenal

Arsenal are interested in signing two of the most promising young defenders in world football right now.

TBRFootball confirmed earlier this month that the Gunners are very keen on signing Jorell Hato from Ajax, while Leny Yoro from Lille has now also been named as a target.

Both players are just 18 years old, and if they come to Arsenal to learn together, in a few years’ time, they could be one of the best defensive pairings in the world.

Make no mistake about it, these are two players who are tipped for the very top.

Hato is already playing a key role for Ajax, being praised to a huge degree by Jordan Henderson, while Yoro is one of Lille’s most important players, earning plaudits from Rio Ferdinand.

Arsenal’s next exciting young partnership

Arsenal’s rise in recent years has been centred around one incredible young partnership.

Indeed, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli have lit up the Emirates in recent years, both bursting onto the scene at the same time at the same age.

Now, Yoro and Hato could be similar sorts of figures heading into the next stage of Arsenal’s evolution, and while centre-backs aren’t quite as fashionable as wingers, these two do have the potential to be just as impactful for Arsenal.

The early part of Mikel Arteta’s reign was defined by a young partnership based around two wingers, and perhaps the next stage of his reign could be defined by these two incredible young defenders.

It remains to be seen if Yoro and Hato sign for Arsenal, but, if they do, there’s plenty of reason to be excited at the Emirates.
