A £25m-rated Inter defender is open to the idea of joining Manchester United this summer, according to a recent report.
It’s become pretty evident in recent months, that United need some serious surgery in the summer if they are to bridge the gap between them and the top four.
Erik ten Hag has come under scrutiny this season and that only intensified on Monday evening, as Crystal Palace put four past them.
Defensively, they were at sixes and sevens, largely due to injuries admittedly but nonetheless, reinforcements are needed in that area of the pitch.

Denzel Dumfries open to Manchester United move
Inter outlaid £12.8m on the signing of Denzel Dumfries from PSV Eindhoven following his sensational showing at EURO 2020.
The jet-heeled right-back has gone on to make 130 appearances for the Serie A giants, winning six pieces of domestic silverware including the league title.
Though, it has come to light, that he may be moved on this summer due to his current contract situation, as he hasn’t reached an agreement on a renewal, as per Gazzetta.
The 52-cap Netherlands international is out of contract next year, so this summer could be the final opportunity to cash in.
A fee of between £21-25m is being mooted and Dumfries would be open to making the switch to United, particularly if his compatriot ten Hag remains.
The all-action defender is against the idea of joining a mid-level Premier League side.

Manchester United need to focus on centre-backs
United ought to focus on centre-backs targets rather than a right-back, as they already have Diogo Dalot and Aaran Wan-Bissaka in that department.
Whilst they aren’t world-class by any means, they have bigger issues elsewhere and must be efficient with their transfer budget.
The defensive issues have mainly been central, with injuries to Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof.
So evidently, there is a need to bring in a reliable defender with a good injury record, as they can’t afford to endure another season like this.
A telling summer awaits ten Hag and the newly-appointed INEOS department, which could include Newcastle’s Dan Ashworth if a deal is reached between the two clubs.
