West Ham are set to reject Arsenal’s latest bid for Declan Rice, it has been claimed.
The Gunners’ new offer for the England international is believed to be worth £75million in guaranteed cash with an extra £15m in add-ons.
But according to the Mail Online their latest proposal has fallen short of West Ham’s £100m asking price and is expected to be rejected.
Arsenal have made Rice their No 1 transfer target and have already seen an offer of £80million turned down.
The 24-year-old heads off on holiday this week after an arduous 61-game season, and is allegedly expecting to be an Arsenal player by the end of the month.
Rice’s personal terms, which are said to be in excess of £200,000 a week, will be formally agreed if and when West Ham and Arsenal strike a deal.
West Ham want to trigger an auction for Rice, and are hoping to generate over £100million for their captain. Treble winners Manchester City are widely reported to be monitoring the situation as they await a decision from Ilkay Gündogan on whether he will extend his stay. As per the Guardian West Ham expect City to enter the race this week.
