Recently diagnosed with terminal cancer, former England boss Eriksson, 75, shared regrets about never managing Liverpool, his lifelong supported team, acknowledging a limited time left.
Liverpool reached out to discuss a role in the Legends charity game, and Klopp, moved by Eriksson’s story, invited him to the training ground, offering a day as Liverpool manager.
Expressing warmth, Klopp stated, “He’s very welcome to come here, sit in my office, and do my job for a day.
” Klopp extended an open invitation for Eriksson to experience the club’s development over the years, emphasizing a heartfelt welcome.
Responding to managing the Legends game, Eriksson gladly accepted, calling coaching Liverpool his dream.
Despite acknowledging a fulfilling career with various football teams, Eriksson expressed happiness and eagerness for this dream opportunity.
