The winger, sidelined from the United first team due to a public dispute with manager Erik ten Hag, is set to undergo a medical on Wednesday.
The loan deal, without an option to buy, includes United covering part of Sancho’s wages, while Dortmund contributes €4m to the arrangement.
Rumors of Sancho returning to Dortmund gained traction on January 2, and despite prolonged negotiations, an understanding between the clubs has now been reached.
