Ahead of a crucial trip to Liverpool, Marcus Rashford was seen in high spirits during training with his Manchester United teammates.
The upcoming match carries significant implications for manager Erik ten Hag’s future. Memories of the humiliating 7-0 defeat in March still linger for supporters and players alike.
Although captain Bruno Fernandes is absent, Rashford, who missed the Bayern Munich match due to illness, seems ready for selection, according to observations at Carrington, as reported by Manchester Evening News.
Luke Shaw was observed undergoing training, providing some relief for concerned United fans ahead of the Bayern Munich match on Tuesday.
The left-back had to be substituted at half-time in the previous game, along with Harry Maguire, who exited with a groin issue.
Ahead of the Liverpool match, Coach Ten Hag provided an injury update on the trio. Additionally, it was mentioned that Anthony Martial, dealing with illness, will not be part of the lineup against the Reds.
“Harry will not be available for the coming games but we don’t think it’s long-term,” Ten Hag told reporters. “Luke Shaw trained this morning, so we think he’s available for Sunday. Marcus Rashford will be back, Martial not.”
Raphael Varane seems to have emerged unharmed from the Bayern game, as evidenced by his presence alongside Sofyan Amrabat in recent pictures.
The Frenchman, who has faced injury challenges in recent years, notably started midweek for the first time since the 4-3 defeat to Copenhagen.
