Van de Beek, who joined Manchester United from Ajax for £40m in 2020, has struggled for impact, playing only 21 minutes this season.
With an unsuccessful Everton loan previously, he’s set to join Frankfurt on loan, with an option to buy, and triggers for a possible permanent move—worth less than half of his initial cost.
Keen on the move, he aims to integrate quickly, and Frankfurt hopes for an early 2023 start, gearing up for games against Borussia Monchengladbach on December 20 and RB Leipzig on January 13.
On Tuesday, 90min reported that Frankfurt aimed to swiftly secure Van de Beek, outpacing other interested clubs.
Real Sociedad, having prior summer talks with United for Van de Beek, stayed interested, alongside La Liga leaders Girona.
Ajax, Van de Beek’s former club, sought a reunion, and Premier League sides Crystal Palace and Fulham also expressed interest. However, it appears Van de Beek is set for Germany with Frankfurt.
Moreover, Casemiro, targeted by the Saudi Pro League, anticipates leaving United. Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane, and Anthony Martial face uncertain futures due to being sidelined by Ten Hag or approaching contract expiration by the season’s end.
