De Bruyne Reveals Expected Return Date from Injury

Kevin De Bruyne, aiming for an early 2024 return, provided an update on his recovery from a hamstring injury that has kept him sidelined since the Champions League final.

The Belgian midfielder, who likened his hamstrings to “wet kitchen towel,” recently underwent a scan, expressing optimism about his progress.

Speaking at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, he disclosed, “It’s going well, getting along. Still got a little way to go, but we’ll be there.”

While eyeing a return shortly after the New Year, De Bruyne will miss upcoming Premier League fixtures, including clashes with Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa. Regrettably, he will also sit out City’s FIFA Club World Cup campaign in December.
