Getafe’s Mason Greenwood, described as “introverted” by teammates, is reportedly embracing a lighter atmosphere as he delves into Spanish lessons provided to him.
The 22-year-old, on loan from Manchester United, seems to have found his stride in Spain after a challenging period at his parent club.
Despite being under contract until 2025, his future at Old Trafford looks uncertain, especially since he hasn’t featured since his legal issues were resolved.
Greenwood’s loan spell in La Liga is set to extend, with a notable improvement in his comfort level evident, highlighted by a recent stunning goal.
Utilizing a Spanish tutor, he is gradually adapting to the language, enabling him to participate more in the team’s banter and training activities.
The Athletic reports that as Greenwood grows more at ease with his surroundings, he is expected to see out the season with Getafe and may secure a permanent transfer away from Manchester United in the summer of 2024, with family and support staff by his side in Spain.
