Cesc Fabregas’s wife, Daniella Semaan, has refuted reports suggesting that Lionel Messi had an affair with an Argentine journalist.
Brazilian media outlet Direto Do Miolo claimed that the Inter Miami star’s marriage with Antonella Roccuzzo was in crisis due to an alleged affair with journalist Sofia Martinez.
However, Semaan, close to the Messi family, dismissed the rumors in response to an Instagram post, stating, “What publication is this that has no meaning… and has nothing right.”
Messi and Roccuzzo, who have known each other since childhood, have been in a relationship for 15 years, marrying in 2017 and raising three sons, Thiago, Mateo, and Ciro.
Reports in Argentina also suggest that the 36-year-old star is allegedly in love with someone other than his wife Antonella.
Journalist Sofia Martinez gained attention during the World Cup for her passionate speech addressing the Argentina skipper after the team reached the final by beating Croatia in the semis.
Messi, currently in the off-season following Inter Miami’s MLS campaign, recently played in World Cup qualifying matches for La Albiceleste against Uruguay and Brazil.
