Real Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti, affirms the strength of his squad despite the absence of key players due to injuries.
Los Blancos are gearing up to face Cadiz in a Laliga encounter on Sunday, November 26 at the Nuevo Miradilla.
Ancelotti’s team has grappled with a series of injuries throughout the season, affecting notable players like Thibaut Courtois, Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga, Dani Ceballos, Jude Bellingham, and Rodrygo.
In his pre-match press conference on Saturday, Ancelotti expressed confidence in the squad’s competitiveness, stating, “We’ve had injuries that have hampered us a bit. The squad is solid. We’ve always been competitive despite the absences of Militao, Courtois, Vinicius, and Bellingham. The team is doing well, and we are convinced that we can handle things.”
Addressing the challenge of an overloaded schedule, Ancelotti emphasized the need for a reduction in the number of games, citing concerns about sustaining the current pace with upcoming events like the World Cup and Champions League.
Bellingham and Ceballos are expected to feature in the lineup against Cadiz.
As of now, Real Madrid holds the second spot on the Laliga table with 32 points from 13 games and leads Group C in the UEFA Champions League with 12 points after four matches.
