Alexis Saelemaekers will reportedly leave Milan for a loan move with option to buy for Bologna set at circa €9m, as the medical is planned for Tuesday.
According to multiple sources including Sky Sport Italia and Calciomercato.com, the agreement has been reached and he is packing his bags tonight.
The Belgian will move on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season set at €9m.
He is expected to have his medical tests in Bologna tomorrow.
Saelemaekers turned 24 in June and had also been linked with several other clubs this summer, including Olympique Marseille, Real Betis, West Ham United, Besiktas, Wolves and even Juventus.
He was signed from RSC Anderlecht in 2020 for a total €10.9m and went on to score 10 goals with 14 assists in 140 competitive matches for the Rossoneri.
Saelemaekers is a Belgium international with 11 senior caps for his country, finding the net once.
His versatility allows him to play on the right or left wing, suited to Thiago Motta’s 4-2-3-1 formation at the Stadio Dall’Ara.
