Liverpool and Man City might have clashed in Premier League action at Anfield but their focus on potential transfer targets has taken them to Molineux.

EXCLUSIVE from Graeme Bailey

The Reds saw off City at Anfield by winning 2-0 as Cody Gakpo and Mo Salah ensured a smooth day at the office for Arne Slot’s side.

But with Liverpool pushing to keep improving and City desperate for new signings, both clubs have also used the weekend to check in on potential targets.

And TBR Football understands that it was the clash between Wolves and Bournemouth that was of interest to City and Liverpool.

Liverpool and Man City scout Rayan Ait-Nouri and Milos Kerkez

TBR Football understands that Liverpool and Manchester City were both represented at Molineux on Saturday as they checked on prospective left-back targets Rayan Ait Nouri and Milos Kerkez as Wolves lost to Bournemouth.

Ait Nouri and Kerkez are two of the most admired young left-backs in Europe and both Liverpool and City have watched the duo closely over the past 12 months.

They continued their scouting of the pair on Saturday. They will have also taken the opportunity to check on Matheus Cunha and Illya Zabarnyi – both of whom they also appreciate.

We can also reveal at Atletico Madrid and RB Leipzig were present and the left-backs were understood to be the main reason for their attendance.

Wolves and Bournemouth could both lose players

Despite going along very differently in the league this season, both Wolves and Bournemouth have squads with talented players.

For the Cherries, who are flying under Andoni Iraola, keeping hold of their top players is going to be ever more difficult, with the likes of Kerkez and Zabarnyi among several catching the eye.

With Wolves, the worry could be that they end up going down, leaving them wide open to bids for players who simply won’t fancy the Championship.

Come May, then, both Wolves and Bournemouth could be bracing themselves for very busy summers.
