Tottenham Hotspur are back in action on Thursday night in the Europa League following an emphatic victory on the weekend.

The European competition has provided Ange Postecoglou with an opportunity to rotate his squad and provide some of his squad players with some game time.

Tottenham have maintained a 100% record in the Europa League with two wins from two against Qarabag and Ferencvaros.

A big few weeks are ahead of the Lilywhites who will be looking to nail down some consistency in the Premier League.

Not only do Tottenham have Europa League to contend with but they also face Manchester City next Wednesday in the Carabao Cup.

And there is one player, specifically, who could benefit from these cup games to provide him with some much needed minutes.

Radu Dragusin’s agent discusses potential January exit

It has been a difficult spell at Tottenham for Radu Dragusin with the defender struggling to become a regular in the starting XI.

The 22-year-old has only played 99 minutes in the Premier League season with 90 of those minutes coming in the away defeat to Newcastle United.

It has been the cup competitions where the Romanian has been handed his opportunities which has speculation growing over his future.

Napoli have been linked with a January swoop for Dragusin but his agent has now told Si Gonfia La Rete that there is no interest in the player leaving north London just yet.

“I haven’t spoken to anyone, and I don’t think Tottenham want to let him go,” Florin Manea told the Italian outlet.

“Radu is focused and wants to play his chances with Spurs. I’ve seen the news too, but – I repeat – I haven’t heard from anyone. We like that many teams are following him, but I also told the others who called me that – to date – we are not interested.

“No player is happy if he doesn’t play a lot, but he wants to fight for his place. We’ll see later how many games he plays, and we’ll evaluate, at this moment it’s premature to think about a transfer.”

Given how limited Dragusin’s opportunities are in the Tottenham XI, he really did not do himself any favours by being sent off after seven minutes in the opening Europa League game.

Having received a red card for his last-man challenge, Dragusin only missed one game which was the away win in Budapest.

It would be expected to see the ‘quality‘ defender return straight back into the starting XI for the game against the Eredivisie side on Thursday.

But he is going to have show some consistently positive performances in the cup competitions if he is going to uproot either Micky van de Ven or Cristian Romero from the Premier League side.
