Liverpool chiefs are already plotting their January transfer moves.

The Reds signed just one player over the summer window in Federico Chiesa, who joined from Juventus in a £12.5m deal.

So evidently, there are still plenty of funds in the transfer kitty to bring in further additions in the winter window.

With that said, it’s just come to light that one of their rumoured targets has rejected a new contract from his current club…

Liverpool target Jamal Musiala rejects Bayern Munich contract

According to the Daily Express, Liverpool are keeping tabs on Bayern Munich playmaker Jamal Musiala ahead of the winter transfer window.

The Germany international, who’s been labelled ‘one of the world’s best players’ per Bundesliga, has already netted two times whilst laying on an assist in four outings this term.

That follows a 12-goal haul the previous campaign, which has led many of the top clubs around Europe to show an interest in his signature.

Manchester City, Arsenal and La Liga giants Real Madrid are also tracking Musiala, who’s just rejected a new contract offer from Bayern.

His future remains uncertain and Liverpool could be one of many clubs who test the waters with a bid in Janaury.

Jamal Musiala pricetag

Musiala is understood to be valued at around £120m, so clearly Liverpool would have to shatter their transfer record to bring him to Anfield.

The Reds’ current transfer record is Darwin Nunez who cost £85m in 2022 and has failed to live up to his lofty price tag.
