Earlier this week, Kylian Mbappe officially joined Real Madrid, following the expiry of his Paris Saint-Germain contract. The 25-year-old is yet to presented as the latest member of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad because he is at Euro 2024 with France, but the idea is for his presentation ceremony to take place soon after the tournament concludes.

Diario AS have revealed the need-to-know details of Mbappe’s presentation. Irrespective of when France’s involvement at Euro 2024 ends, the event will be held on the Tuesday, the 16th of July. On that morning, he will undergo his medical tests, before being presented at the Santiago Bernabeu in the evening, in front of 80,000 delirious Real Madrid supporters.

It will be similar to the presentation ceremony of Cristiano Ronaldo, Mbappe’s footballing hero. A catwalk is to be installed at the Bernabeu for the event, with live music and a fireworks display also planned.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez will also present Mbappe with his new number nine jersey. The Frenchman is expected to wear the number for one season, like Ronaldo, before taking Luka Modric’s 10 when the Croatian retires at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.
