Several Premier League sides are now interested in signing a player Mikel Arteta perhaps would be prepared to lose this summer.

It could be akin to a one in, one out scenario at the Emirates ahead of the new season, as Edu Gaspar tries to craft a window as successful as last.

Deals for Declan Rice and Kai Havertz were executed so promptly, and Arsenal are aiming to have their work completed early once again.

Arteta and Edu will have likely already decided their shortlist, which probably contains both Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak and RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko.

Of course, in order to proceed with any of that interest or the shortlist mentioned, Arsenal will also need to move players on.

Not only to benefit their adherence to the league’s Profit and Sustainability Rules, but also make space in their already bloated squad.

With everyone fit, the Emirates dressing room is a busy one, and Hale End graduate Eddie Nketiah seems a sensible player to move on.

Wolves, Crystal Palace and Fulham all want Eddie Nketiah but deterred by Arsenal’s asking price

Kai Havertz is currently Arsenal’s first choice striker, and with a new goal-scoring addition considered a key target, there will seemingly be next to no opportunities for Nketiah moving forwards.

Fortunately, according to a report by GIVEMESPORT, Nketiah does have significant interest from other Premier League clubs, including two in London.

According to the report, all of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Crystal Palace and Fulham want to sign Nketiah.

However, the biggest stumbling block could be Arsenal’s £50m price tag.

Arsenal have been criticised for not demanding enough for their players over the past few windows, with Folarin Balogun’s move to Monaco being an example of that.

But that price tag for Nketiah does seem steep, especially considering the spending-power of the club’s mentioned.

Of course, there’s then Nketiah’s preference – would he actually be ready to leave his boyhood club?

It’s too simplistic to say that Nketiah should go if he has any ambition, as that same drive might be fueling his belief that he can still succeed at Arsenal.

It’s a complicated scenario – one of several that Arsenal will need to get right this summer.

All that being said, one Arsenal target has actually been telling Mykhailo Mudryk that he’s ready to leave his club.
