One Newcastle player has now been described as being overwhelmingly unlikely to leave St James’ Park this summer.

Eddie Howe needs to keep all hands on deck this summer as the Magpies aim to return to the UEFA Champions League next season – especially after Manchester United’s FA Cup win meant Newcastle lost their UEFA Conference League spot.

Now, there is good news for Newcastle fans to digest regarding Alexander Isak…

Alexander Isak now very unlikely to leave Newcastle

A story from iNews now claimed that the Sweden international is “overwhelmingly likely” to stay at Newcastle and be the man to lead the line at St James’ Park next season.

It comes amid strong interest from Arsenal, with insiders claiming that Mikel Arteta wants to sign Isak more than any other player right now.

However, the Magpies have absolutely no intention of selling the £120,000-a-week Swede, who has a rumoured £171m price tag, and iNews now state that it would be a major shock for the Newcastle No.14 to depart.

Isak enjoyed one of the best Premier League campaigns of any Newcastle striker in history last season, scoring 21 goals in just 30 Premier League appearances – while also providing two assists.

Sweden international could have a new attacking partner

Not only do Newcastle seem highly likely to keep Isak this summer, but Howe is now planning to support his talisman by adding one of the Premier League’s best forwards alongside him.

A story by the Telegraph claims that the Magpies are very keen to sign West Ham No.20 Jarrod Bowen this summer, and the England international actually agreed to join Newcastle back in 2020.

However, Mike Ashley would not pay the £22m fee, and West Ham swooped in to meet Hull’s asking price.

Bowen just scored 20 goals and provided ten assists in 44 appearances last season, so if Howe can add the West Ham star alongside Isak, Anthony Gordon and Harvey Barnes, Newcastle would arguably have one of the best attacks in England.
