An era will come to an end after Sunday’s La Liga fixture between Sevilla and Barcelona at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan. Not only is it the final match of the 2023-24 season, but it is also Xavi Hernandez’s farewell appearance as head coach of the Catalan giants.

He will look to go out on a high, with Sport reporting that Barcelona will field a full-strength line-up. Despite the likes of Pau Cubarsi, Ilkay Gundogan, Lamine Yamal and Raphinha all heading to international tournaments this summer, they are all set to be in Xavi’s final line-up.

Sevilla will also field a strong XI in Quique Sanchez Flores’ final appearance as head coach. Sergio Ramos and Youssef En-Nesyri, who also both also leave in the coming weeks, will start for Los Nervionenses as they aim to end their disappointing season on a high note.

It should be a fierce encounter when these two teams meet, as it always the case when Sevilla and Barcelona come face-to-face. Who will be the team to end their season, and their manager’s spell, on a high?
