Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah has a new haircut and rather unexpectedly, Neal Maupay has been among the first to react to the news.

Liverpool striker Salah has been known for his iconic locks in recent years as he tears down the wing at Anfield and beyond.

But it looks like those locks are no more after Salah took to social media to share a new look in which Salah appears to have gone for the full shaven head look.

Of course, with the season ending and not much football to be played barring the FA Cup and Champions League final, this reveal from Salah has made the headlines.

And from across the other side of the city, Everton-owned Neal Maupay has offered up his brilliant reaction to seeing the news.

Neal Maupay reacts brilliantly to seeing Mo Salah’s new haircut

Taking to his social media account over on X, Maupay offered up his thoughts on Salah’s new doo.

And in typical Maupay fashion, there was an element of taking the micky when it came to his response.

Mo Salah’s haircut will have no bearing on his form…or will it?

This is very much one of those fun pieces of news to report on and in the main, it shouldn’t make much difference to Salah.

However, those eagled eyed fans on social media have made comparisons with the likes of Arjen Robben, who shaved his head after leaving Chelsea and looked a different beast over at Bayern Munich.

Some suggested Salah’s change of style was to give him that extra 1% when it came to the aerodynamics of running down the wing.

Of course, there’s no credible science behind any of these claims from certain fans.

But still, it makes for a fun topic and Liverpool fans have lapped it up throughout the day.
