Jack Grealish and Phil Foden are among four Man City stars who could be about to net the club a seven-figure some direct from UEFA.

The two attackers won their second and sixth Premier League titles respectively this season, with Foden being many commentators’ player of the year.

Their season is not over yet. Pep Guardiola‘s side have the chance to complete a third domestic double in a row if they beat Man United in the FA Cup final at Wembley this weekend.

After that, Grealish and Foden will turn their attention to the Euros. And it is there where City will bank a respectable sum for their players’ participation in the tournament.

Grealish, Foden, Stones and Walker could net City £1m-plus

Gareth Southgate has named his provisional England squad for the tournament in Germany, with Grealish and Foden included alongside teammates John Stones and Kyle Walker.

All four are expected to make the final cut when Southgate trims the 33-man squad down to 26.

And with England backed to go far in the tournament, City could earn over £1m thanks to their representation in the Three Lions squad.

How do UEFA pay clubs for their players featuring at the Euros?

UEFA have a deal in place with the European Club Association that sees clubs paid a daily fee for each player they send to the Euros.

The financial pool that is distributed between clubs has risen from £27m in 2008 to more than £170m at Euro 2024.

The exact breakdown is not known after UEFA changed the formula to give clubs an eight per cent cut of TV cash as well as commercial and matchday revenue for the Euros.

However, the last daily figure available was £7,424. That may sound like pocket change to pertro-funded City, but it would be worth around £900,000 if their four players reach the final of the Euros.

And thanks to the new distribution system, the true amount is likely to be closer to £1.5m in total.

Again, not huge money for a club like City, but it is effectively passive income.

How much do England player earn for playing at the Euros?

England players do not rake in huge sums for representing their country.

Grealish, Foden, Stones and Walker are entitled to around £2,000 per appearance, so the maximum they could take home at the Euros is £14,000 each.
