It has just come to light, that one manager linked with the vacant managerial position at Chelsea is not interested in taking over Mauricio Pochettino, according to a recent report.

Chelsea have been linked with a plethora of managers since parting ways with Pochettino – which came as a shock to the footballing world.

Having ended the season so well, winning four games on the spin, many felt the former Tottenham Hotspur man had turned things around.

But, ultimately, Todd Boehly is keen to bring in a young coach to take The Blues forward and it’s just emerged, that one candidate has snubbed the opportunity.

Thomas Frank not interested in becoming Chelsea manager

According to the Daily Mail journalist Kieran Gill, Brentford boss Thomas Frank is not interested in becoming the new manager of Chelsea.

Quotes from Frank emerged late last night which indicated his desire to remain at The Bees, at least for now.

“I can see myself being here for a long period. Can I stay here for seven more years? I don’t know and that’s not that I don’t love Brentford, it’s just: do I want to try something different? But I’m very aware the grass is not greener in the garden next door even if it looks like it. Then you get in there, take a closer look and see there are a lot of weeds in the grass,” the 50-year-old said.

Chelsea should go all out for Eddie Howe

A lot of the names Chelsea have been linked with a still unproven at Premier League level, namely Kieran McKenna and Enzo Maresca.

Indeed, there is little doubt that they’ll both carve out great careers on the touchline but a move to Chelsea seems a little premature.

The obvious candidate at this stage seems to be Eddie Howe, who is experienced at Premier League level and has a great track record for developing young players.

Howe has taken Anthony Gordon to a new level, so perhaps, with Chelsea’s young squad, he’d be the perfect fit.
