Because of the incredible season Girona have had, which saw them secure Champions League qualification for the very first time in their history, it’s hardly surprising that many of their players are wanted by clubs across Europe.

The likes of Aleix Garcia, Miguel Gutierrez and Artem Dovbyk have attracted interest, and the same can be said for Viktor Tsygankov. According to Diario AS, multiple Premier League clubs have made contact with the 26-year-old’s agent in recent weeks.

Tsygankov has not stood out as much as others in the Girona team, but he has still quietly had a solid campaign, amassing six goals and six assists. Head coach Michel Sanchez plans to keep counting on him for next season, and would be very unwilling to allow a sale to happen during the upcoming transfer window.

Tsygankov’s market value is €28m, so Girona would be in line for a significant payday if he was sold. For now at least, their prerogative is to retain his services.
