It has just emerged, that Mikel Arteta is eyeing a move to sign one of the best dribblers in Europe this summer, according to a recent report.

Arsenal’s season ultimately ended in bitter disappointment, as Manchester City beat them to the Premier League title, winning it for the fourth year in a row.

Though, notwithstanding that, the good feeling has remained around Emirates Stadium as fans recognise progress is being made.

According to TuttoJuve , Arsenal are interested in signing Juventus’ wingback Andrea Cambiaso this summer.

The 24-year-old is also attracting interest from Premier League rivals Manchester United and is expected to cost £21.3m.

There were suggestions that Aston Villa has launched a £34m proposal for his signature but those rumours have since been squashed.

Anyhow, competition is expected to be rife for the dynamic defender, whose statistics are really impressive.

Cambiaso’s FBref statistics make for very impressive reading and it’s little surprise top clubs are in for him this summer.

The Italy international ranks in the top 12 per cent for progressive carries compared to his positional peers across the big five leagues, evincing his terrific dribbling ability.

Further, he sits in the top 13 per cent for progressive passes received – providing evidence that he is very attack-minded.

If Arsenal land his signature this summer, they’ll be getting a totally different profile to Ben White and a real outlet on the right or left.
