Serie A giants Inter could have new owners tomorrow but current owners Suning are trying to reach a late agreement with Oaktree over an extension regarding the debt payment deadline.

Oaktree would have to be paid their debt by 12am later today as Suning had got that loan from the American fund back in 2021. Suning’s attempt to seek a new loan from Pimco failed, landing them in trouble regarding the deadline of the Oaktree debt to be paid back.

La Stampa state (via FCInter) that Inter owner Steven Zhang is trying to seek a last minute extension from Oaktree as he doesn’t want to lose control of the Nerazzurri, who lifted the Serie A title yesterday after a draw against Lazio.

The €380 million fee has to be paid by today but Suning is trying to obtain a one-year extension from Oaktree while proposing a 15 percent interest rate. He is also said to be seeking some help from the Chinese government in these attempts but there seems to be a limited chance of thigns working out.
