The cracks are beginning to show for Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham.

The Australian had a serious rant after the Manchester City game this week, and, in a way, his comments were reminiscent of what Antonio Conte was saying about Spurs 12 months ago.

There has been plenty of speculation about Postecoglou being unhappy at Spurs off the back of a poor run of form, but, according to Fabrizio Romano, speaking on The Debrief, the Spurs manager isn’t in fact unhappy at the club.

Indeed, Romano says that Postecoglou isn’t unhappy, but he and the board both acknowledge that changes are needed this summer.

Ange Postecoglou isn’t unhappy

Romano shared what he knows about the Tottenham manager.

“I don’t think it has changed because that is something Ange Postecoglou had in mind even before that game. He knew Tottenham needed a big, big change before the summer transfer window,” Romano said.

“He’s together with the club on that. I don’t think Ange Postecoglou is unhappy with Tottenham or the board, but he knows together with people at the club that they need big changes in the summer.”

Tottenham need changes

Ange Postecoglou may not be unhappy at Tottenham, but there can’t be many within Spurs who are pleased about this recent run of form.

Indeed, while the manager isn’t on the brink of leaving, he’s well aware that something has to change.

Luckily, we’re only a few weeks away from the summer transfer window opening, and that will give Postecoglou and Tottenham the chance to reshape and rebuild this squad as they see fit.

Tottenham, for all their flaws, largely got things right in the transfer window last summer, and if they can have a similar window this time around, there’s no reason they can’t compete at the very top level next season.
