Tottenham Hotspur have a busy summer ahead as Ange Postecoglou looks to strengthen his squad.

There’s also a good chance we could see numerous outgoings, as Spurs players that aren’t up to standard or aren’t getting much game time are offloaded to make room for new signings.

In recent weeks, speculation has emerged linking a player who only joined Tottenham this season with a move away from N17.

The player in question is Radu Dragusin, who Spurs signed from Genoa for a reported £25million back in January.

Dragusin has had to bide his time at Tottenham, with eight appearances, two starts and 334 minutes of football under his belt at N17 thus far.

Florin Manea, the Spurs defender’s agent, said earlier this month – as per CalcioNapoli24 – that “if he doesn’t play we’ll have to think of other solutions”.

He added: “At the moment I don’t think so because he only arrived in January. Then you never know in life, let’s hope not, but you never know.”

Napoli, who reached the Champions League last 16 this season, were one of the clubs vying for Dragusin alongside Tottenham.

Now, speculation linking them with the Romania international has started doing the rounds again.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Napoli ‘remain interested’ in signing Dragusin this summer – under the ‘right economic conditions’.

However, the 2022/23 Serie A champions are reportedly prioritising Torino’s Alessandro Buongiorno. They made a bid of around £34million and are awaiting a response.

If Napoli fail to make a breakthrough with Buongiorno, they could potentially push for Dragusin instead.

Dragusin may not be a regular starter at Tottenham just yet, but it’s not as though he hasn’t had any game time.

Indeed, he played the full 90 minutes against Manchester City in midweek. He has started three league games this season, so Postecoglou clearly sees him as one for the future.

Players sometimes need time to acclimatise to a new club, league and country, particularly when they’re young.

Spurs will hopefully reject any bids from Dragusin, who should have a more prominent role at the club next season.
