Juventus boss Max Allegri has all but confirmed his exit from the club at the end of the season, after the side’s Coppa Italia title win against Atalanta.

The Bianconeri rode on an early goal from Dusan Vlahovic to win the game yesterday, as they made sure that Atalanta did not create any significant chance in the game. They have now the Coppa Italia fifteen times and Allegri is now the most successful manager in the competition’s history.

Allegri spoke to the press after the game and revealed that if he isn’t at the club next season, he would leave behind a strong foundation and a strong team for the next manager.

He said (via TMW): “I was celebrating with the team and with the team. I respect the club and the men a lot. We won and the rest doesn’t count for anything. The boys had an important season. If next year I won’t be there anymore, I leave a strong team. The club will make its assessments.”

When asked specifically about his future, Allegri revealed that Juve have the right to sack a manager or to keep him at the club.

“The club has the right to keep a coach or not. For me it was an important evening, I have played in several finals in my career. I really enjoyed myself tonight, you live for these events and I hope to experience more in my career.”

Allegri also further thanked the club for giving him the opportunity to win silverware and it came across as a farewell comment from the Italian.

“I’m happy to be part of this club, I just have to thank them for all the trophies they’ve helped me win. Victories must be celebrated, then from tomorrow Juventus must prepare again to win.”
