Serie A giants Juventus have now sealed their Coppa Italia win for the 2023/24 season and with that, Max Allegri has created history.
An early goal from Dusan Vlahovic proved enough for Juve to win silverware this season. After the goal, Juve dropped deep and soaked pressure, denying Atalanta any space to create openings and La Dea only relied on half-chances during the game.
While Allegri did have an incredible moment of anger towards the end of the season, the Coppa Italia win means that he is now the most successful manager in the tournament’s history. He has now won the competition five times, which is more than anyone else.
Roberto Mancini and Nils Liedholm are tied at second with four titles and Inter boss Simone Inzaghi is at third with three Coppa Italia wins. This is Allegri’s first silverware win in his second stint at Juve and he could now be leaving the club on a high.
