Ange Postecoglou has reportedly identified three key areas where he’d like to strengthen his Tottenham Hotspur squad this summer.
It looks set to be a decisive summer transfer window for the Aussie boss as recent weeks have highlighted the need for further investment at Tottenham.
Spurs were in the driving seat to deliver a top-four finish in Ange Postecoglou’s debut season after thrashing Aston Villa back in March. But four consecutive defeats in the Premier League have likely resigned Tottenham to a fifth-place finish.
Should the Lilywhites secure a Europa League spot as expected, Postecoglou will need added depth as he bids to compete on all fronts next term.
And The Times claims that Tottenham are ready to back the Aussie in the transfer market this summer.

The three key areas Postecoglou wants to strengthen
The outlet reports that Spurs are ready to back Postecoglou with three key signings this summer.
This could also lead to up to seven players leaving the club as the Aussie continues to build a squad in his image.
It’s claimed that Postecoglou wants to prioritise three positions – a centre-back, midfielder and a striker.
Improving the quality of the starting XI will be key for Spurs but there is also said to be a ‘recognition’ that they will need added depth as they prepare for a return to European competition.

Tottenham transfer news
Spurs continue to be linked with familiar names ahead of the summer. With news that Spurs want a new centre-back, Bologna’s Riccardo Calafiori could be one to keep an eye on after links to the Italian in January.
Tosin Adarabioyo is reportedly in talks with Newcastle United ahead of his contract at Fulham expiring at the end of the season. But reports claim that Postecoglou’s side remain keen.
As for the midfield, Spurs have been labelled ‘likely’ to sign Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher. Much will depend on whether they opt to prioritise a deeper-lying midfielder given Yves Bissouma’s recent form.
If the north Londoners do target a striker this summer, Ivan Toney could come under consideration after claims Tottenham could launch a £45 million bid for the Brentford star.
