A stoppage time goal from Jordan Ayew earned Ghana’s Black Stars a 2-1 win away to Mali in Group I of the 2026 FIFa World Cup qualifiers on Thursday.
The Black Stars, now on six points, moved up to second position while Mali are third on four points.
It was Ghana’s second win after three games (one defeat against leaders Comoros) in the group.
Mali took the lead in one minute of first half stoppage time through Kamory Doumbia.
The Black Stars drew level in the 58th minute thanks to Ernest Nuamah before Ayew snatched the later winner on 94 minutes.
They will host Central Africa Republic on matchday 4 on Monday, 10 June.
