Following the conclusion of the 2023-24 season, Real Madrid have begun their squad planning for 2024-25. This has included looking at the lower categories, and one player whose situation has been addressed is Iker Bravo, who joined the club in 2022 on a two-year loan deal from Bayer Leverkusen.

Bravo struggled to establish himself in Raul Gonzalez’s Castilla side, although his fortunes were significantly better when he was playing for the U19s, coached by Alvaro Arbeloa. However, he was not done enough to since club bosses to sign him on a permanent basis, with Relevo reporting that he will join return to the newly-crowned Bundesliga champions.

Bravo fell out with Raul during last season, and requested to be dropped down to the U19s, where he scored 17 goals across all competitions. With little chance of earning a promotion back to Castilla, the decision has been taken for him not to stay in Madrid.

Bravo is unlikely to remain at Leverkusen this summer, as he wants to venture into top-level football. His idea is to return to Spain, possibly to secure a move to a club in either La Liga or Segunda. Unfortunately for the 19-year-old, he will not be back at Real Madrid.
